Front Porch Classroom (Clay County)

Front Porch Classroom is a free, home school support group for students of all ages, as well as the people who teach them. Meetings are open to everyone who cares about homeschooling- whether new to the adventure or someone with years of expertise.

We believe each person has a unique perspective and we try to share information, resources, field trips, curriculum, tips, and anything we think will help each other.  Activities at regular meetings have included educational speakers, visits from Veterans, book sharing, arts and crafts and small field trips around the county. A couple of fun, pot-luck picnics are usually held each year, too, but no one is ever required to participate in any event or activity.

This group is open to anyone in Clay County as well as the surrounding counties of western North Carolina and north Georgia.  Regular meetings are held from 1 to 3 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at Moss Memorial Library in Hayesville.
