Greyfriars Classical Academy

Located in Matthews (Mecklenburg County), Greyfriars Classical Academy (GCA) offers a classical high school education in a strong Christian environment, welcoming homeschooled students to enroll in one or more courses. GCA's class structure resembles that of a university, meeting together Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each subject is taught from a decidedly biblical worldview, meeting either one day each week (1/2-credit courses), two days each week (1-credit courses), or three days each week (mathematics). Students can enroll either full-time or part-time (for homeschooled students).

We are especially interested in giving Christian families an affordable option by which their children can continue to receive an exceptional, Christian education through the challenging high school years.  Individual classes are offered for as little as $345 for a 1/2-credit course.  Choose from 33 courses, including:

     Science—Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physics
     Mathematics—Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus
     Languages—Latin I & II, Spanish I & II
     History, Literature
Plus, there are several ½-credit courses meeting just once each week—Writing, Logic, Aesthetics, Theology
