SALT is a non-profit, faith-based Christian organization, consisting of about 100 families, based in northwest Charlotte. SALT draws most of its membership from northwest Mecklenburg and eastern Gaston counties. Although SALT is a comparatively small home school group, it offers a rich and wide variety of events and activities to its members.

This is not a homeschool group.  It does serve a specific group.  Special Blessings is a non-profit organization for children and adults with disabilities and their families.  Our goal is to educate children, families, and volunteers through support group meetings and community inclusion.  By providing families with information and knowledge they will be empowered to help their children grow to their fullest potential.

Stanly-Montgomery Home School Association (SMHSA)

"SMHSA is a home school group based in Stanly and Montgomery County, but we also have members in Anson and Cabarrus County. We offer opportunities for children age K-12, their younger siblings AND parents to get together at different events throughout the year. These events include, but are not limited to; holiday parties, field trips, monthly skate days, graduation, Moms' fellowship and an annual family picnic."

T.E.A.C.H. of Davie County

The name of our group was chosen to reflect some of the core values of our member families.  It stands for Teaching, Excellence, Achievement and Character at Home.  Our goal is to be of help and encouragement to the families in Davie County and the surrounding areas, during the time that they are homeschooling.  We accomplish this by providing information and helping our members locate resources.  We are also working together to schedule enrichment activities and organizing monthly educational opportunities for parents and their children.
