We encourage you to join a support group in your area and to also become a member of NCHE. Below you will find a list of the active support group in our area.
We also encourage you to join our free, regional e-mail group, WNC Homeschoolers. Support Groups
If you have a support group that is not listed here, please contact us so we can add it to the list.
AGAPE stands for Acting on God's Authority as Parent Educators. We are a group that seeks to please our Lord Jesus Christ as we teach our children at home. We meet at Grace Baptist Church on Haywood Rd in West Asheville, the first Monday evening of each month. (The 2nd Mondays of Sept and Jan, due to holidays.)
We have workshops each month that address a wide variety of needs, as expressed by our members. We also offer mentoring relationships for newer homeschoolers, and encouragement for all of our members.
While most of our members are from the greater Asheville area, we also have members who come from Henderson, Madison, McDowell and Haywood counties.

A fun group of over 200 families thrives at Biltmore Baptist Church. The group provides enrichment classes, field trips, Moms Night Out, etc. Their purpose and desire is to provide loving encouragement, quality enrichment and social interaction for students as well as essential support for parents as they develop their children to Christ-like character; enabling them to stand firm in their belief in the teaching of the Bible as the complete and inerrant Word of God, thereby equipping them to glorify the name of Jesus Christ.
