Topical Groups & Other Resources

Springs of Life Camp

We are planning our first annual home school day event on August 26, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  We will have various activities such as swimming, a zip line, putt putt golf, climbing wall and others.  We also have ball fields, volleyball court (sand), and a batting cage.  In addition to all the activities, meteorologist, Austin Caviness from WXII TV, will be presenting a weather talk to all the students and parents.  We would like to invite every home school family that would like to come.  Our facility can hold over 200 people.

The website is www.springsoflifecamp.org.  Registration forms on web site.

Each family may bring their own lunch and refreshments, or we will be selling hot dog meals for $3.00 a meal.  This entire day of fun and education is only $10.00 a family.  I would like to get this information out to the home school families in your group.

Youth Leadership School

The Leadership Institute will be holding a Youth Leadership School in Winston-Salem, NC the weekend of September 25-26.  This is a great opportunity for young conservatives to learn how to be active in the political process; they will learn all the nuts and bolts of communication and political leadership.

The Youth Leadership School is a two-day training program packed with training exercises in which students will learn how to write press releases, canvass, get out the vote, cultivate supporters, raise money, host speakers, utilize volunteers, and much more.

The best part of all this is that it only costs $30 which includes food, course materials, and hotel accommodations (if necessary).
