How to Succeed in Co-ops and Classes without Really Trying

2014 NCHE Annual Conference and Book Fair
General interest to all parents

Co-ops and outside classes can be what you need them to be, and they don't always have to be "formal." There is often great benefit for the parent and the student in working with other learners in a small group. Today, the trend seems to be towards very organized, structured and often expensive outside classes, but this wasn't always the case. Hear from a veteran homeschooler different ways you can organize and participate in co-ops and classes and make them work for you and your student. Answer the question, "Do we need to be in a co-op?" and explore innovative ways to make the most of any co-operative learning activity.
