NCHE Chess Network

The NCHE Chess Network is designed to encourage homeschool students to play chess. Playing chess is not only fun, but it helps to improve concentration, patience, the ability to think and plan rationally, and the ability to recognize patterns. You can use this network to find like-minded players so that you can improve your skills.

Keep a watch on this space and in the NCHE weekly newsletter and social media for details on upcoming chess classes (one in the fall; one in the spring); our annual Mid-Winter Chess Tournament (usually held in January/February); and our Annual Thrive! Tournament (held in May).

FREE SPRING SEMESTER 2026 CHESS CLASS:  Thursday, January 8, 11 a.m.  Click here for full details and registration.
