Regional 4 Liaison
Tracie Marsh
My name is Tracie Marsh, and I’ve been homeschooling for over 20 years. My husband Mike and I have been married for 26 years, and we have four children, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. I’ve graduated two of our children and one son-in-law, and I’m currently homeschooling our younger children and grandchildren.
I co-founded and still lead Seeds of Promise FSG, a homeschool co-op serving over 120 families and 350 students across multiple NC counties. I also serve on the board for the North Charlotte Lions (NCHEAC) and enjoy ministering through Awana and children’s church.
My heart is to encourage and equip homeschool families, especially those just beginning. I’m grateful for how NCHE has supported our journey and look forward to serving Region 4 with love, joy, and purpose.
North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE) exists to help parents homeschool with confidence and joy by protecting your right to homeschool, equipping you with resources and encouragement, and connecting you with families and groups across the state.
One of the best ways to find ongoing support is by joining a local homeschool group in your area. Below you’ll find a list of groups in your region, which have chosen to be listed on this page. While we are so grateful for the support these groups provide, being listed on this page is not an endorsement by NCHE.
If you’re a homeschool group leader, please take a moment to ensure your group’s listing is accurate. If your group isn’t listed, we encourage you to complete the Homeschool Group Form so families in your area can find and connect with you.
If you have questions or need guidance, your regional liaison is here to help. You can also take advantage of all the other ways NCHE supports homeschool families:
- Online mentoring
- Our annual Thrive! conference
- NCHE membership: magazine, graduation, scholarships, discounts, mentoring, monthly email
- NCHE field trips
- NCHE Sports

We are a 501 (c) (3) organization in Cabarrus County that seeks to educate our families at home and in a community together, leading and guiding them in the way they should go. We desire to do life together and support each other in this journey. We all have something to offer and we see the value of everyone in the co-op. We are one body with many parts, all essential to the co-op family. We desire to not only teach our own children, but to disciple the children and lead them toward their own individual callings in life. We will do whatever we can to support each child. In addition to the children, we want to create an environment that supports the whole family. We pick from a variety of different curriculum publishers, using only the best of the best! We use Notgrass, The Good and the Beautiful, Apologia, Lifepac, to name a few. We also offer life skills, p.e., art, drama and 4-H.

Greyfriars Classical Tutorials is a ministry of Greyfriars Classical Academy to homeschooling families with students from kindergarten through 8th grade. GCT-Grammar includes K through grade 5 and meets on Tuesdays, while GCT-Logic includes grades 6-8 and meets on Thursdays. Both groups are under the direction of the Board of Greyfriars Classical Academy, a three-day-a-week high school.
At Greyfriars, we believe we are working with the God-given strengths of children by emphasizing memory work in the grammar stage, discussion and problem-solving in the logic stage, and presenting ideas wisely and well in the rhetoric stage. The program provides weekly classroom instruction by tutors who love what they teach and do so from a Christian worldview and with a classical methodology. GCT meets for 30 weeks during the school year and is ideal for families who desire the benefits and blessings of educating both in community as well as in the home school. Families of GCT find guidance, structure, curriculum help, encouragement and accountability in a nurturing community.

All Ages Complete Instruction
Provides Biblical Life Skills and Guidance, Homeschool Classes, Tutoring, a Co-op and Support Group, and How to Homeschool Consultations.
Biblical Life Skills and Guidance: Many adults struggle with unhealthy thinking patterns, habits, attachments, and decisions from their young adult years that hinder them as adults. This program aims to prevent these problems by helping students apply Biblical principles to their everyday lives and teaching important life skills.
Homeschool Classes are provided from a Christian worldview by caring homeschool moms who have extensive experience in teaching a wide age range of students.
Tutoring can be accomplished for almost any subject and any age, provided the tutor has access to the student and teacher materials.
Co-op and Support Group: Parents who would like to take part in co-operative teaching of classes can apply to become a member of the family-friendly Co-op and Support Group that has been in place since 2010, and attend field trips and service projects. The families in this group can take part in a yearly Graduation Ceremony.
How To Homeschool Consultations: We can help with starting to homeschool, establishing an academic and personal plan, choosing curricula, and guiding parents as they begin their homeschooling journey; whether that involves learning to read or preparing for high school and graduation.
