For example, Forsyth Home Educators (FHE) serves the homeschooling families of Forsyth <em>county<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>To find local groups near you, go to <a href=\"\/regions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NCHE regions page<\/a> to find your regional liaison or to see a list of local groups.<\/p>\n<h3>Curricular<\/h3>\n<p>Some groups are curricular-oriented and devoted to supporting particular educational activities or ideologies. Co-ops focused on a classical education or those who follow the Charlotte Mason educational philosophy are two such curricular groups. Most of the time, these groups are locally based.<\/p>\n<h3>State<\/h3>\n<p><strong>North Carolinians for Home Education (NCHE)<\/strong> is a private, non-profit, volunteer organization active at the state level, serving homeschoolers in North Carolina and beyond. This is us! We are here to provide support on a state-wide level. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed. HSLDA advocates on the legal front by fully representing member families at every stage of proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>HSLDA advocates on Capitol Hill by tracking federal legislation that affects homeschooling and parental rights. HSLDA works to defeat or amend harmful bills, but also works proactively, introducing legislation to protect and preserve family freedoms.<\/p>\n<p>NCHE members receive a discount on their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hslda.org\/GroupServices\/DiscountGroupProgram.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HSLDA membership<\/a>.
