My great-great aunt was known for her saying “youth is wasted on the young.” As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized the wisdom of this quote. It’s common to encounter adults who wish they’d behaved differently in their youth. These encounters along with the quote of my great-great aunt challenged me to seek ways to maximize my teen years. Through much prayer and counsel from mentors, I am where I am today. I operate two successful small businesses and write and publish Christian children’s books. In this workshop, I challenge my audience to maximize their youth for God’s glory.

Kayla Jennings is a Christian teenager with a heart for the Lord, a deep love for her family, and a passion for writing. She greatly desires to see more morally uplifting content flood schools, libraries, and homes. Kayla loves debate and public speaking. She has an avid interest in politics and policy as well as the arts and their effects on American cultures. For hobbies, she enjoys playing the piano, cooking, and reading. She is a homeschool graduate and lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with her parents and five younger siblings.
