Money Matters: Saving and Paying for College
Join CFNC outreach experts to learn about strategies to afford your child’s college education. In this session, we will equip you with the necessary information and tools to better understand the updated Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing process and resources available to help you pay for college. We will share details on saving for college costs, including the NC 529 Savings Plan, scholarships, grants, and more. You will leave this session more confident about the financial aid process.
Amy Denton has 28 years of experience in higher education; helping students achieve their dream of attending college or pursue an alternative pathway after high school. She has worked at College Foundation, Inc. since 2007 as the CFNC associate outreach director for Northeast North Carolina providing information on career planning, academic planning, applying to college, and paying for college including scholarships, grants, loans and North Carolina’s 529 Savings Plan. Prior to joining the outreach team at CFI, she was director of admissions at Barton College in Wilson, NC, for over 10 years.
