College isn’t the best post high school gig for everyone. How in the world do you explore the trades with your students—and when? And what are the options if your student is bent that direction? What are some careers that are suited to hands-on learners with an insatiable curiosity? What could that career look like, and what is your plan to prepare them adequately? Mandie will take you from big picture to practical first steps to help that student become a tradesman, entrepreneur, and/or professional. The opportunities are endless. Let’s get started!

Mandie Rose is a remarried homeschooling mom of 5, business owner, full-time mobile mechanic, and lover of the trades. Her education is in broadcasting, accounting, and automotive systems. She has taught the Crankin Engines summer camp (a curriculum by Rankin Barnes) for 10 years, teaching children and adults the joys of discovering their talents while rebuilding small engines. Discover how you can teach the trades at her workshop, with experience or not!
