This workshop will seek to introduce the error of teaching our children any subject outside of a theistic foundation. The Apostle Paul warns us not to be taken captive by worldly philosophy (Col 2:8). We will demonstrate how “regular” curriculum courses: US history, modern history, gov/econ, etc have been taken captive by worldly philosophy and are having a negative impact on our children. We will expose some of the intentional distortions embedded in the above subjects, and lastly, we will propose that the Western Christian tradition is an extraordinary drama needing re-engagement!

Clay Broussard is a father of 8 who has taught them all! (13-29) He holds a BA in economics from UT@Austin and a MA from SES in Charlotte. He also works for a Global Technology Firm. He has served in various churches as an elder, teacher, and ministry leader. The last 10 years, he has developed and taught courses for Christian co-ops, and this has led to the launch of the IdeasMatterProject: Aimed at educational renewal. He has a love for the Bible, theology and philosophy, and history and economics.
