My husband, Todd, and I have been married for 36 years and began homeschooling our three children in 2004 while living in NW Africa. Our youngest graduated from homeschool in 2019. All three of our children graduated from university and two are married. We have one grandson born in Nov. 2024. Homeschool was a great way of life for our family. It allowed our kids to grow up together, to know each other well and to develop close relationships. It also allowed us to direct our children’s schooling and provided time to disciple our children and to see them grow in their faith. Homeschool prepared our three kids well for university and for life after school by helping them to develop self discipline and time management skills. Our youngest remarked while at university, “I learned how to take ownership of my studies as a homeschool student rather than expecting the teacher to tell me everything I need to know.” We were able to educate our children in a manner unique to each one. I enjoy helping others as they homeschool whether they are new homeschoolers, in the middle or at the end of their homeschooling journey. Please contact me with any questions and I will be glad to help. One of the best ways to find ongoing support is by joining a local homeschool group in your area. Below you’ll find a list of groups in your region, which have chosen to be listed on this page. While we are so grateful for the support these groups provide, being listed on this page is not an endorsement by NCHE. If you’re a homeschool group leader, please take a moment to ensure your group’s listing is accurate. If your group isn’t listed, we encourage you to complete the Homeschool Group Form so families in your area can find and connect with you.
