The Governor&#8217;s Office page program focuses on professional development, service opportunities and educational experiences in civics and history.\u00a0 When Governor&#8217;s Page Week activities include visits and interaction with each of the three branches of government (visiting the State Supreme Court and justice(s); visiting the Legislature and meeting with House and\/or Senate members; meeting with representatives of the administrative Cabinet).\u00a0 For the NCHE group, an effort will be made to include a visit with the Office of Non-Public Education (the &#8220;homeschool office&#8221;).<\/p>\n<h4>The 2025 Governor&#8217;s Page Week<\/h4>\n<p>The Governor&#8217;s Page program helps high school students grow in the areas of civics, history, service and professional development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>October 27-30, 2025 will be the next available homeschool Governor&#8217;s Page Week. <\/strong>Participation is <strong>limited to 12 students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>All pages serve for one 4-day week:\u00a0 Monday, 1-4 pm; Tuesday\/Wednesday\/Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>There is a dress code. These pages must be between the ages of 15 (or in the ninth grade) and 18, must be in good academic standing in their schools and sponsored by a Representative or Senator.<\/p><p>The\u00a0<strong>2018 Senate and House Page weeks will be assigned over the winter<\/strong>.<\/p><p>The Governor's Page Program provides an opportunity for students (age 16-18--or soon to be 16) to find out first hand about the function\/operation of state government. The Governor's Office page program focuses on educational and professional development.\u00a0 Activities include visits and interaction with each of the three branches of government (visiting the State Supreme Court and justice(s); visiting the Legislature and meeting with House and\/or Senate members; meeting with Cabinet Secretaries).\u00a0 Additionally, students may do some clerical work in the Governor's office.\u00a0 For the NCHE group, an effort will be made to include a visit with the Office of Non-Public Education (the \"homeschool office\").<\/p><p><strong>The 2017 NCHE Governor's Page week is September 18-21<\/strong>.\u00a0 Do NOT register at their online site.\u00a0 Instead, directly contact Page Program Coordinator Tyler Robinson at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:govpage@nc.gov\">govpage@nc.gov<\/a>\u00a0or call him at 919-814-2080. Participation is limited to 8 or 9 students.<\/p><p>All pages serve for one week and are paid. This money goes to cover the cost of room and board while serving. There are homes prepared to host the pages. They generally provide the room, board, and transportation while in Raleigh.<\/p><p>There is a dress code. Young men are required to wear coats and ties, no jeans.
