Thrive! ASVAB CEP Test<\/h1>\n
The ASVAB CEP (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Career Exploration Program) is the only comprehensive and\u00a0completely<\/b>\u00a0no-cost<\/b>\u00a0career planning resource that empowers students nationwide to align their strengths and interests with a post-secondary plan.\u00a0The CEP involves three assessments: (a) the ASVAB, an aptitude test that estimates your capacity for academic and vocational endeavors; (b) the Find Your Interests (FYI) inventory, which identifies job activities you would like to perform; and (c) the Work Values Situational Judgment Activity (WV SJA), which identifies what you most value in, and desire to receive from, the work\u00a0 you do.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Following ASVAB administration (about 90 minutes), students will participate in a Post-Test Interpretation (PTI) session where they (a) learn what their ASVAB scores mean, (b) complete the FYI and WV SJA, and (c) begin to explore occupations. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the PTI session.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
ASVAB CEP\u00a0is open\u00a0to students in 10th\u00a0grade and above (college students included). There is no obligation to military service or to speak to a recruiter. Indeed, students need not have any interest in the military whatsoever to participate in and benefit from ASVAB CEP.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Students need to be registered for the conference to take the test. Any type of registration works: full conference, vendor hall only, or teen coming without family. However, they either need to be preregistered or register onsite on Thursday or Friday. If the student is preregistered, and doesn’t come until Saturday morning, we will have someone in the room to check you in.<\/p>\n

ASVAB CEP and the accompanying PTI session\u00a0will be provided on Saturday morning from 8-11\u00a0AM\u00a0in the Gallery Ballroom in Benton South.<\/div>\n

Prueba ASVAB CEP El ASVAB CEP (Programa de Exploraci\u00f3n de Carreras de la Bater\u00eda de Aptitud Vocacional de las Fuerzas Armadas) es el \u00fanico recurso integral y completamente gratuito para la planificaci\u00f3n de carreras que permite a los estudiantes de todo el pa\u00eds alinear sus fortalezas e intereses con un plan de estudios postsecundarios. El CEP consta de tres evaluaciones: (a) el ASVAB, una prueba de aptitud que estima tu capacidad para las actividades acad\u00e9micas y vocacionales; (b) el inventario Encuentra tus Intereses (FYI), que identifica las actividades laborales que te gustar\u00eda realizar; y (c) la Actividad de Juicio Situacional de Valores Laborales (WV SJA), que identifica lo que m\u00e1s valoras y deseas obtener del trabajo que realizas. Graduation Ceremony<\/h1>

The graduation of a\u00a0homeschooled son or daughter is a momentous occasion and worthy of celebration. One way that NCHE participates in this celebration is by holding an annual graduation ceremony which\u00a0coincides with the annual conference. The 2018\u00a0Graduation Ceremony will be held Saturday, June 2 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The ceremony\u00a0lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.<\/p>

NCHE invites graduate families to commemorate the occasion with your community of home-based educators by participating in the NCHE Graduation Ceremony. Homeschools wishing to participate in the ceremony will need to purchase a Graduation Ceremony Package. This package includes a diploma, cap and gown, a rose for the teacher and the option\u00a0of a honor cord.<\/p>
