Deze voorstelling vindt plaats in Rives Hall van Westchester Country Day School, 2045 North Old Greensboro Road in High Point.

This must be distinctly understood, or nothing wonderful can come of the story I am going to relate…” And so begins Charles Dickens’ famous story of the change in the heart and life of Ebenezer Scrooge. After starting at the NC Shakespeare Festival in 1977, this longest-running A Christmas Carol in the Triad returns for a 41st season! This special adaptation of Dickens’ classic features David Bishop’s unique musical score that has enchanted North Carolinian families for generations and a company of professional actors. This performance for students include a post-show talkback with the artists about the story and production. This performance will be held at Westchester Country Day School’s Rives Hall, 2045 North Old Greensboro Road in High Point. Curtain is at 10–so we’ll need to check-in between 9 and 9:45. The run-time of the performance is 2 hours 15 minutes (including intermission). Adding the talkback time will still have you in your car by about 1 pm. The theater usually recommends the show for ages eight and older due to the spookiness of Marley, Christmas Future, sensitivity around Tiny Tim’s hypothetical death, etc. However, they also trust families to know their children and understand that there are kids younger than eight who would love seeing the show. Any child in a seat (3 years and older) will need a student ticket. If families need to bring lap babies (2 and younger) that’s fine and those children do get in free, but the theater requests families with littles to sit on the sides of the auditorium to permit easy access in case the baby needs attending during the show. Tickets, including taxes and fees are Adults: $8.50 Students (3-18): $13.95 Lap Babies (0-2): Free Update: We now have the entire auditorium JUST FOR NCHE!! As of right now (October 28), we have 35 seats remaining. Tickets are transferable to others for the same day but are non-refundable.
